As Chairman of PFC, tapped the capital market with Follow on Public offer in FY 2011-12 when no other PSU dared to enter the market; the issue was oversubscribed by 4.3 times. Captured the business of renewable energy for the new subsidiary created, which expanded at a faster pace than conventional energy and required a different set of structures for evaluation. Constantly led PFC on a growth path resulting in rich dividend payments ensuring proper maintenance of NIM, SPREAD, Recovery Rate, NPA Level, and Rating from domestic/international rating agencies. As Chairman of PFC Consulting, created USP for awarding 14 UMPPs on competitive bidding based on GOI guidelines Ensured per employee execution of consultancy assignment value stood in tandem with Big 4 Consulting Firms.

  • Transformed PFC into a global company recognized for its size and performance, leading to PFC getting listed in ‘World’s 2,000 Biggest Companies’ by Forbes USA and ‘Top 500 Global Financial Brands’ in Brand PLC’s, UK.
  • Increased business of the subsidiary related to consolidation and M&A in the Indian Power sector after private sector participation surge.
  • Ignited profits after tax of PFC from INR 1,200Cr to INR 4,800Cr.
  • Consistently maintained 0.5% NPAs of the loan book.
  • 15% reduction in AT&C losses of the country by restructuring the APDRP program likely to turn around the sector.
  • Set up 2 National Power Exchanges to develop the subdued power trading activity in the country.
  • Introduced the system of tracking daily profitability for a loan book of INR 1.6 Lac Cr.
